DILG XI RAC Conducts On-Site 2026 GAD Seal Assessment of Field Operating Units
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XI, through its reconstituted Regional Assessment Committee (RAC), successfully conducted the On-Site 2026 Gender and Development (GAD) Seal Assessment of its Field Operating Units (FOUs). The RAC was formally reconstituted through Regional Order No. 2026-144 to ensure a comprehensive and objective evaluation process aligned with GAD standards and policies.
The assessment aimed to validate and review the submitted Means of Verification (MOVs) of the DILG Provincial and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Offices.
Key areas evaluated included the presence and functionality of the Institutional GAD Focal Point System (GFPS), the establishment of a GAD database, the visibility and accessibility of the GAD Corner, and the provision of GAD-related trainings or technical assistance to stakeholders.
The RAC conducted on-site assessments across the region following a structured schedule:
- Davao Occidental – March 12, 2026
- Davao Oriental – March 16, 2026
- Davao del Norte – March 17, 2026
- Davao del Sur – March 18, 2026
- Davao de Oro – March 19, 2026
- Davao City – March 24, 2026
The assessment not only ensured compliance with established guidelines but also provided an opportunity for continuous improvement, fostering a more inclusive and gender-sensitive delivery of public service across the Davao Region.
